Stuck on plants?  Thousands of cacti and succulents are offered for sale, featuring some that are seldom available outside this event.  Due to the ever-increasing popularity of Xeriscaping and rock gardens especially given Colorado’s drought restrictions, the club will again present a significant selection of winter hardy plants.

Recognized experts will be available to answer questions and offer advice on growing these widely varied and interesting plants.  Additionally, brief yet informative seminars will be offered throughout the day.  There will be hourly drawings for free plants, a repotting service plus cactus and succulent books, containers, potting soil, and fertilizers for sale.

CLUB HISTORY - In 1972, the Colorado Cactus & Succulent Society (CCSS) was founded with 8 memberships that have grown to more than 150 members located throughout Colorado and other parts of the country. The annual show and sale is the organization’s only fundraising event. The money raised sponsors numerous activities and events. In the past, CCSS contributed funds to the Denver Botanic Garden’s staff field research to South Africa, the cactus gardens at the Butterfly Pavilion in Arvada and Colorado western slope’s botanic garden in Grand Junction.
