Registrations for the conference are rolling in with Colorado, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, and Iowa among the states represented. Remember: the cost of registration will go up to $110 on May 1. If you haven't already registered do it now before you forget. Where else can you hear two days of talks by well known experts, enjoy a banquet, meet and visit with about 100 enthusiasts willing to share their experiences, purchase unusual plants from top vendors, learn secrets of plant show success, and have this much fun for only $85? Don't miss out!
Goto the website www.midstatesconference.org to register on line or print a copy of the mail-in registration form. The online option allows you to complete registration and pay through PayPal and also has a link to a special Double Tree Hotel site where you can book your room at the special conference rate. The Mid-States site was also recently updated to provide more information about the conference, including the complete schedule for the event.
We have received good support from sponsors and donors both locally and in other states. Joyce Hochtritt, a CCSS member from Oklahoma, and one of our vendors has volunteered to pick up items for the Mid-States auction from donors in Texas, California and Arizona. When you see Joyce at the S&S, please thank her for this and her other help with the conference. We are looking for additional help both before and during the conference in many areas. Several things can be done in your spare time and do not require lots of travel or meetings. Contact Reed for details.
We will have a Mid-States planning meeting at 5:00 p.m. before the Chinle monthly meeting on March13. Come and get involved. There are many opportunities for you to participate.
