May Field Trip
This month, we will be joining the Chinle Chapter for a field trip over in Grand Junction. Club members will meet on Friday afternoon at the south end of Colorado National Monument for a hike and bbq. Saturday will be a tour of the San Rafael Swell in Utah. Sunday will have some limited plant collecting in a cattle range area. Please join us.
Roswitha's email is down. So she asked if I could send a list of a few things to remember this weekend. Please give her a call at (303) 433-4144 with any questions.
The desert area in western Colorado and eastern Utah has lots of black nats. These little critters like the shade just as much as we do! So we should all be prepared for a few bugs. A few items to remember are:
1) Hat
2) Water Bottles
3) mosquito repellant (Deet seems to work the best!)
4) long sleeved shirt and long pants. These are better in bug country.
5) Paramethron can be sprayed on your clothes and last 30 days, but I tend to find it is a bit strong most of the time.
6) Sunglasses
7) POI from last month with trip details.
