CCSS joined Don Campbell and the Chinle Chapter during May of both 1999 and 2000. These wonderful weekend trips began with a tour of Don's wonderful backyard gardens. He has a great collection of plants all computer cataloged and is sometimes called upon to rescue endangered cacti from construction zones. Don then led everyone on tours of his favorite trails in Colorado National Monument and pointed out some of the unique cacti that live in the park. It was a great way for everyone to get together and hang out beyond usual club meetings.
